Google has announced the pricing for its video-generating AI model, Veo 2, which was introduced in December 2024.

According to the company’s pricing page, Veo 2 costs US$0.50 per second of video.

This translates to US$30 per minute or US$1,800 per hour.

In comparison, OpenAI’s Sora video model is available to users subscribed to the ChatGPT Pro plan for US$200 per month.

Veo 2 is designed to create video clips that are at least two minutes long, as stated in Google’s launch announcement.
