Google has released its latest AI model, Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental, through a changelog update in its Gemini chatbot app.

This new model is available to users of Gemini Advanced starting Jan. 30 and serves as the successor to Gemini 1.5 Pro, which launched in February 2024.

The Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental model aims to enhance performance in coding and mathematics tasks, according to Google.

However, the company notes that it is still in an “early preview” phase, meaning it may show unpredictable behavior and errors.

The model does not have real-time information access and lacks compatibility with some features of the Gemini app.

The Gemini Advanced offering, which includes this new model, is part of Google’s AI Premium paid plan.
