Google plans to introduce an AI assistant for mobile games on Android that will offer live coaching and gameplay suggestions.

The feature, which uses Google’s AI models, will be available in select games in the coming months.

Players can ask the assistant to interpret on-screen events and receive advice without leaving the game.

Google first previewed these capabilities in December 2024 through DeepMind, its AI lab.

The company also introduced a unified gamer profile on the Play store to show achievements, progress, and community forums.

The updates are aimed at raising engagement on Android and the Play store, where revenue from subscriptions, platforms, and devices rose 20% in Q2 2025 to US$11.2 billion.
