Google restructures leadership for search, ads amid AI push

Google has announced changes in its search and ads division leadership.

Prabhakar Raghavan, the unit leader since 2018, will step down to become Google’s chief technologist. He will continue to report to Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai.

Nick Fox, who has been with the search engine giant since 2003, will assume Raghavan’s position. Recently, he served as vice president for product and design in the Assistant product division.

Now, Fox will oversee Google’s Knowledge and Information division, covering search, ads, and commerce products.

This restructuring aims to accelerate Google’s progress in AI.

The move comes amid increased competition and ongoing antitrust challenges regarding its search and ads operations.
