Alphabet’s Google has signed a US$1.2 billion, five-year agreement to provide cloud-computing services to ServiceNow, according to a source familiar with the deal.

ServiceNow, which develops software for business automation, did not confirm the value but said it works with multiple cloud providers.

Google declined to comment.

Google Cloud is the third-largest cloud provider after Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

It has been growing its enterprise customer base, as seen with Salesforce’s recent US$2.5 billion commitment and OpenAI becoming a customer.

In Q2, Google Cloud reported US$13.6 billion in revenue, a 32% year-on-year increase, partly driven by AI investments.

ServiceNow also disclosed US$4.8 billion in cloud service commitments through 2030.
