Google has agreed to invest in Manchester-based ecommerce logistics firm THG Ingenuity through a convertible instrument that could give it an equity stake at a valuation of at least US$1 billion, according to sources.
The investment is part of a broader partnership between Google Cloud and THG Ingenuity, which separated from its parent company THG earlier this year.
As part of the collaboration, THG Ingenuity’s services will be listed on the Google Cloud marketplace, and its digital infrastructure will move to Google Cloud.
The two firms will also co-develop new products using Google Cloud’s generative AI and data analytics platforms.
