Google to open Pixel stores in India to rival Apple

Google is preparing to open its first physical retail stores outside the US, with India as a key target.

The company is considering locations in or near New Delhi and Mumbai, with store sizes expected to be around 15,000 square feet.

The stores are projected to open within six months, though timelines may shift.

Currently, Google sells its Pixel devices through authorized retail partners in India.

Opening its own stores would help it compete with Apple, which launched official stores in Mumbai and New Delhi in 2023.
