Google Messages is updating its spam filter to better identify scam texts related to package deliveries and job searches.

The revamped spam detection system is currently being tested by beta users.

Additionally, the app will soon have the capability to automatically hide texts from unknown international numbers. It will also alert users about potentially harmful links.

The sensitive content warnings feature will be turned on by default for users under 18.

This update is expected on devices running Android 9 or higher in the upcoming months.
