Google has initiated a restructuring, moving the team behind its Gemini app to DeepMind, its AI research division.

This shift aims to consolidate Google’s AI efforts in the growing genAI market.

The Gemini app, which interfaces with AI models for consumers, will now be managed by Google DeepMind under the leadership of CEO Demis Hassabis.
