Google Finance returns to mobile with new AI tools

Google on June 26 launched Google Finance features powered by AI and a standalone Android app. The update adds natural-language stock tracking, scheduled briefings, portfolio analysis, real-time data, and Key Moments summaries that explain stock movements.

Google said the finance tools already support custom portfolios, natural-language portfolio edits, and scheduled market updates in Search.

The launch also marks Google Finance’s return to mobile.

Google removed its earlier Android finance app from app stores in 2015. Google later relaunched the web service in 2020 with investing tools.

Unlike some rivals, Google is positioning the product around research and monitoring rather than trade execution. Robinhood has said AI agents on its platform can trade equities and analyze portfolio risks.
