This update, announced on Feb.24, removes the need for third-party transcription services by displaying transcripts in a sidebar next to the video player.

The tool highlights spoken text in real-time as the video plays.

This allows users to find specific moments by searching keywords within the transcript.

To use this feature, videos must have captions, which can be added or generated through Google Drive’s caption settings.
