Google cut the US monthly price of Google AI Plus from US$7.99 to US$4.99 on June 8.

The company also doubled included storage from 200GB to 400GB. Google’s live plan page now shows the higher storage limit.

Google introduced AI Plus in the US on January 27 as a lower-cost consumer plan.

In India, Google later priced AI Plus at 399 rupees (US$4.2) a month. The company also offered an introductory price of 199 rupees (US$2.1) for six months.

OpenAI had already launched a sub-US$5 ChatGPT Go plan in the country.

Anthropic’s Claude pricing page lists paid plans in US dollars, starting at US$20 a month. The company does not show India-specific or lower-cost local pricing.
