Google Cloud has appointed Hana Raja as the country manager for Malaysia. In her new role, she will manage local go-to-market strategies and operations for both Google Cloud and Google Workspace.

Raja will report to Serene Sia, Google Cloud’s country director for Malaysia and Singapore.

She has over 16 years of experience from leadership positions at Cisco and Bain & Company. During her career, she collaborated with executive teams across various sectors, including financial services, healthcare, and the public sector.

This announcement aligns with Google Cloud’s ongoing expansion in Malaysia. The expansion includes investing in a sovereign cloud initiative with Dagang NeXchange Berhad, constructing a Google data center, and developing a Google Cloud region in Elmina Business Park, Selangor.

These projects are part of Google’s partnership with the Malaysian government to enhance the country’s digital economy.
