Goldman, Y Combinator back US blockchain firm at $1b valuation

Trm Labs, a San Francisco–based blockchain analytics firm, raised US$70 million in a series C round, valuing the company at US$1 billion.

The round was led by Blockchain Capital, with participation from Goldman Sachs, Bessemer Venture Partners, Y Combinator, and new investor Galaxy Ventures.

The funding will support expansion in AI research, compliance solutions, and investigation capabilities.

Trm’s platform is used by law enforcement, national security agencies, and private firms in more than 50 countries.

The company reported average annual revenue growth of over 150% in recent years.

Trm plans to hire across AI, data science, and engineering roles. The goal is to strengthen its blockchain intelligence solutions. It aims to help institutions tackle threats such as ransomware, terrorist financing, and money laundering.
