Gogoro, a Taiwan-based e-scooter brand and battery swapping provider, will expand its partnership with British lubricant maker Castrol to boost its presence in Vietnam.

Gogoro plans to launch new e-scooter models for Vietnamese riders and will authorize Castrol to market and sell these vehicles in Vietnam this year.

Gogoro will provide design and technology support for the new models.

The companies signed an agreement in February 2025 to set up a joint venture, leveraging Castrol’s experience in the Vietnamese market.

Since then, they have launched a pilot e-scooter logistics team in select areas of Vietnam to gather feedback from clients.
