Gobi Partners said on 13 July 2026 that it entered a non-exclusive, non-binding collaboration with NTT, a Japan-based technology and telecommunications company.

The partnership aims to link Japan’s industrial and technology ecosystem with Southeast Asia’s startup market.

The companies said they would explore startup matching and cross-border commercial opportunities.

This includes connecting startups in Gobi’s network with relevant NTT Group companies for technology validation and potential commercial use.

The collaboration will also support engagement among startups, corporations, investors, universities, and public institutions in Japan and Malaysia.

The announcement follows Gobi’s expansion into Japan in 2025 through East Japan Railway Company’s Takanawa Gateway Link Scholars’ Hub, as well as its work with the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Japan External Trade Organization, and Cross Capital.
