Global smart glasses shipments more than doubled in the first half of 2025, led by strong demand for Meta Platforms’ devices and new offerings from companies like Xiaomi, according to Counterpoint Research.
AI-powered smart glasses made up 78% of total shipments, while the rest were mainly basic smart audio glasses.
Meta Platforms held over 73% market share, with other major Chinese players including Huawei, RayNeo, and Xiaomi also active in the market.
Xiaomi, based in China, launched its first AI glasses in June, selling about 50,000 units so far, according to third-party data.
