Global AI startup Flam raises $40m in series B
Flam, an AI interactive content startup, said on September 15 that it raised US$40 million in a series B round led by QED Investors.
The funding will support research and development, product expansion, and global enterprise sales.
Claypond Capital, Australian Gulf Capital, the SRK Family Office, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, and existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail also joined the round.
The raise follows a series A in which Flam raised US$14 million.
Flam said companies use its platform for interactive video, three-dimensional content, and AI avatars for product visualization, brand storytelling, entertainment, fan engagement, customer support, and learning.
It said it added more than 100 enterprise customers over the past six quarters, including Google, State Farm, and Diageo.
The deal comes as startups developing AI avatars have attracted hundreds of millions of dollars in venture funding, showing continued investor interest in the category.
