GitLab expands Google Cloud partnership for enterprises

GitLab said on June 11 that it is launching a managed version of its platform on Google Cloud through GitLab-certified managed service providers.

The providers include Beyond and Digital Future. The service targets enterprises with regulated data requirements.

Those providers deliver the service on Google Cloud rather than GitLab directly. Customers can keep control over where their code, pipelines, and security data reside. They do not need to manage the underlying infrastructure.

GitLab said the launch expands an April 2026 collaboration with Google Cloud.

The earlier partnership allowed customers to use Google models through through GitLab Duo Agent Platform and count that usage toward existing Google Cloud commitments.

The update adds the managed deployment option, Gemini 3.5 in GitLab Duo Agent Platform, and Gemma 4 for GitLab Duo Self-Hosted.
