GitLab 19.2 adds AI tools to fix vulnerable deps
GitLab, a US-based DevSecOps software company, released version 19.2 on July 16 with new AI features for software development and security.
The update automatically fixes vulnerable dependencies, reviews merge requests for business logic and authorization flaws, and lets teams build custom automated workflows under existing approval controls.
Dependency Scanning Auto-Remediation and Security Review Flow are in public beta, while Duo CLI and Custom Flows are generally available.
GitLab said Duo CLI is generally available across GitLab.com, Self-Managed, and Dedicated deployments.
Pricing documents show GitLab sells three tiers, but the GitLab Duo Agent Platform behind these Duo features is a paid add-on for Premium and Ultimate customers.
GitLab also said generally available capabilities consume credits.
More advanced security tooling, including auto-generated vulnerability solutions, is available in Ultimate.
GitLab 19.2 also adds an AI Audit Event Report in beta and new Model Context Protocol access controls for agents.
