German robotics startup raises $120m for AI robots

Neura Robotics, a German robot manufacturer, has raised US$120 million in a funding round led by Lingotto Investment Management, part of Italy’s Agnelli family.

The funds will enhance the company’s robots’ perception and information-processing capabilities.

Over the past year, the workforce has doubled to 300 employees to support growth.

The company reports nearly US$1 billion in orders from clients, including Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Omron Corporation.

Its humanoid robot, 4NE-1, can perform tasks like unloading washers, ironing clothes, and pouring drinks.
