US FTC chair Lina Khan resigns
Lina Khan has announced her resignation as chair of the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC), where she served under President Joe Biden.
A staff memo indicates that she will depart the agency in the coming weeks.
During her tenure, Khan focused on antitrust enforcement.
She initiated lawsuits against major corporations, including Amazon, and investigated Microsoft.
Following this transition, Republican Commissioner Andrew Ferguson will assume the role of FTC chair.
