French cybersecurity startup Riot raises $30m series B

French cybersecurity startup Riot has raised US$30 million in a series B round, bringing its valuation to over US$170 million.

The round was led by Left Lane Capital and included participation from existing investors Y Combinator, Base10, and FundersClub.

Riot achieved US$10 million in annual revenue in 2024.

Now, it serves 1 million employees across 1,500 companies, up from 100,000 employees previously.

Originally focused on educating employees about phishing risks, Riot has since added a security chatbot, Albert, available on Slack and Microsoft Teams.

The company plans to introduce an Employee Security Posture Management platform to assess security practices, offer recommendations, and assign a “karma score” for improvement.

With the new funding, Riot will accelerate growth by opening offices in additional countries and expanding its customer base.
