Franklin Templeton, Animoca plan tokens for Nuva
Franklin Templeton, a California-based global investment manager, and Animoca Brands, a Hong Kong-based digital-asset and AI company, said in an October 9, 2026 statement that they plan to bring tokenized real-world assets to Nuva, an Animoca-backed vault marketplace, to widen institutional access.
Nuva was co-incubated by Animoca Brands and Nuva Labs, a blockchain infrastructure company, and launched in May 2026.
Its existing vaults provide access to assets on Provenance Blockchain.
The network had more than US$30 billion in total value locked as of September 24, 2026.
Franklin Templeton already offers the Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund and uses a dedicated digital-assets channel for blockchain-based fund distribution.
The companies also launched a four-part research series on tokenization.
They plan to explore co-designing and tokenizing real-world cultural assets, with details expected later in 2026.
Separately, Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission has issued frequently asked questions on tokenizing Securities and Futures Commission-authorized investment products and updated guidance on tokenized securities-related activities.
