Foxconn invests additional $295m in US unit
Hon Hai Precision Industry, known as Foxconn, said it invested an additional US$295 million into its US unit Foxconn Assembly LLC via Cloud Network Technology Singapore Pte. Ltd., according to a filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
Foxconn Assembly is based in Houston, and Foxconn did not say what the new funding will be used for.
An industrial source said the capital injection is linked to expanding AI server production for North American customers.
Chairman Young Liu said the group has about 8,000 employees in the US and plans to top 10,000 by end-2026, while analysts have estimated Foxconn’s total US investment at several billion dollars.
Liu also said Foxconn operates 50 facilities across 18 US states and expects about US$100 billion in US revenue in 2026.
