Foxconn expects Q3 to beat forecasts on AI demand

Foxconn, a Taiwan-based contract electronics manufacturer, said on September 5 that its third-quarter performance is expected to beat market expectations as AI demand stays strong and information and communication technology products enter the second-half peak season.

The company did not give a numerical forecast, but said August revenue rose 51.98% year on year to T$921.8 billion (US$29.15 billion). That was Foxconn’s highest August revenue on record and the second straight month above T$900 billion (US$28.48 billion).

Foxconn is Nvidia’s biggest server maker and a major Apple supplier, making it a beneficiary of demand for AI infrastructure.

The company said last month that second-quarter profit rose 35% and beat analyst estimates. On September 5, Foxconn also said it needed to monitor the impact of the “volatile” global political and economic situation.
