Motive Technologies, a fleet management company based in San Francisco, plans to more than double its workforce in India over the next two years.

The company aims to hire over 300 professionals for its AI, product, and engineering teams at its development center in Bangalore, according to CEO Shoaib Makani.

The expansion will grow Bangalore’s share of Motive’s global R&D staff to one-third, up from the current 250 employees in India.

Motive, which serves 120,000 customers including FedEx and Halliburton, joins other tech firms expanding in India for skilled workers.
