Fitness app Strava said to hire banks for potential US IPO
Strava is preparing to hire investment banks for a potential US IPO, according to people familiar with the matter.
The San Francisco-based fitness tracking app was valued at US$2.2 billion in a May funding round led by Sequoia Capital, Square Ventures, TCV, and Go4it Capital Partners.
Strava operates a mobile app with over 150 million active users in 185 countries.
The company has invited banks including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley to pitch for roles on the IPO, sources said.
A public listing could happen as early as 2026, depending on market conditions.
Details on fundraising targets and valuation are not finalized.
Strava recently appointed a chief financial officer, a move often seen as preparation for an IPO.
