US investor Franklin Templeton, MoonPay partner on stablecoins
US asset manager Franklin Templeton said on June 2 it had partnered with MoonPay, a US crypto payments and infrastructure company, to let eligible institutional investors move between supported stablecoins and its tokenized money market fund.
The transactions will run through the Benji platform and MoonPay Trade without leaving blockchain networks.
Benji is the onchain share representation of the Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund. One share equals one BENJI token.
Franklin Templeton said BENJI is available on Stellar, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Aptos, and BNB Smart Chain.
MoonPay Trade is for institutional and enterprise users. It supports tokenized fund subscriptions, onchain settlement, and value transfers across 200+ blockchains and protocols.
The deal extends Franklin Templeton’s digital asset push after it said in April that it planned to launch Franklin Crypto, a division following its acquisition of crypto investment firm 250 Digital.
The market for tokenized money market funds was about 7 billion euros (US$8.16 billion) in early 2026.
The European Central Bank listed BENJI at 690 million euros (US$804 million) as of Dec. 31, 2025, making Franklin Templeton’s fund one of the larger products.
