Donut Lab, a Helsinki-based e-mobility startup, has raised €25 million (US$29.3 million) in seed funding to support its modular EV component platform.

Donut Lab’s platform features inter-compatible parts, including battery modules, computer units, and vehicle control software.

The company plans to introduce additional features in 2025 through its international research and development team.

Its proprietary in-wheel Donut Motor eliminates traditional drivetrains and targets automotive, aerospace, marine, robotics, and defense markets.

Donut Lab has signed over ten commercial contracts with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across various sectors for its EV technologies.

Additionally, the company announced the establishment of a research and development facility in Chippenham, UK, to support its expansion.
