Comparables.ai, a Helsinki-based provider of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) software, said on October 6 that it raised US$6 million in seed funding led by Pragmatech and Araya Ventures to support international expansion and further develop its AI platform.

The company said more than 50,000 professionals in more than 30 countries use its product. The platform combines company data, financial data, valuations, deal records, and contact information to help deal teams identify targets, buyers, and market signals.

Araya Ventures, one of the lead investors, focuses on pre-seed and seed startups.

Comparables.ai operates in a segment that includes a range of specialist AI and M&A tools for dealmakers.

Its use of business contact data could also fall under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe, where professional contact details linked to individuals can be treated as personal data.
