Fashion delivery startup Slikk nets $10m series A

Bengaluru-based ecommerce platform Slikk has raised US$10 million in a series A funding round led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from existing investor Lightspeed.

The funding will support Slikk’s expansion into new lifestyle categories, including beauty, footwear, and accessories.

The company also plans to introduce instant returns and increase its presence in urban areas across India.

Founded by Akshay Gulati, Om Prakash Swami, and Bipin Singh, Slikk offers 60-minute delivery of fashion items and features a Try & Buy model with rapid refunds.

The platform primarily serves college students and urban professionals.

🧠 Food for thought

1️⃣ Pioneering in a rapidly evolving quick commerce landscape

Slikk’s entry into fashion quick commerce represents a significant expansion of the sector beyond its grocery roots, targeting a market projected to grow to $5.5 billion by 2025 1.

The company is operating in a nascent segment that launched only months ago in August 2024, currently averaging about 100 deliveries daily in select Bengaluru locations 2.

This positions Slikk at the intersection of two high-growth markets: India’s fashion e-commerce sector (expected to grow from $21.60 billion in 2025 to $98.45 billion by 2032) and the quick commerce revolution 3.

While established quick commerce players like Blinkit and Zepto have found success with 10-30 minute delivery windows for groceries and essentials, Slikk’s 60-minute fashion delivery model represents a new frontier with different operational challenges 2.

The company previously raised INR 2.5 crore in a pre-seed round, making this $10 million Series A a significant step up in scale that will test whether the quick commerce model can successfully translate to fashion 2.

2️⃣ Targeting Gen Z’s evolving shopping behaviors with experiential commerce

Slikk’s focus on young, urban consumers aligns with research showing that over 60% of Gen Z engages in online shopping heavily influenced by social media trends and demanding immediate gratification 4.

The company’s “Try & Buy” model addresses a critical pain point in fashion e-commerce, high return rates, while catering to younger consumers’ preference for experiential shopping rather than just transactional experiences 2.
