Farm-fresh startup Country Delight raises $25m from Temasek

Country Delight, a startup, plans to raise approximately 212.50 crore rupees (US$25 million) in a series E funding round.

The investment will be provided by V-Sciences Investments Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Temasek, according to filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

The company’s board has approved the issuance of over 100,000 series E compulsorily convertible preference shares (CCPS) at a price of 21,045 rupees (US$244.35) each to V-Sciences Investments.

According to the filings, the funds will be allocated for working capital and a “miscellaneous project.”

Founded in 2015 by Nitin Kaushal and Chakradhar Gade, Country Delight began as a farm-fresh milk delivery service.

The company has since expanded its offerings to include groceries, fruits, and vegetables.
