Ex-Flipkart exec’s firm launches smartphone subscription service

BytePe has launched a subscription-based smartphone service in India, offering users access to premium devices like the iPhone 17 series for a monthly fee.

The Bengaluru-based company, founded by former Flipkart executive Jayant Jha, allows customers to subscribe to new smartphones with options to upgrade, return, or own the device after 12 months.

BytePe says its plans include one-time damage protection and an assured buyback option for upfront purchases.

The service is available to both credit card and non-credit card users through BytePe EMI.
