Frontier Tech Capital, a new private equity fund co-founded by KaHa founder Pawan Gandhi, ex-Citi executive Brijesh Pande, and Texas-based Plainview CEO Razat Gaurav, is raising a US$150 million fund for tech investments.

The fund, which has already secured nearly half its target, plans initial investments of over US$10 million in each of 10 to 15 growth-stage tech or tech-enabled companies, mainly focusing on firms with more than US$50 million in revenue.

Teams have been set up in Southeast Asia, with Manoj Kohli, former SoftBank India country head, leading Indian investments.

Frontier Tech Capital is backed by institutions from Japan, family offices from Singapore, a large pool of UAE-based limited partners, and has seen interest from Indian family offices.
