Ex-ASML employee accused of stealing trade secrets

A former employee of ASML Holding NV, a Dutch chip equipment giant, is scheduled to appear in a Rotterdam court on Monday.

The 43-year-old Russian engineer faces allegations of trade secret theft, according to Dutch broadcaster NOS.

The engineer is accused of stealing documents, including microchip manuals, from ASML.

He reportedly violated sanctions law and has been barred from re-entering the Netherlands for 20 years.
