Ex-Meta executive’s startup said to raise $100m funding
Calcalist reports Israeli cybersecurity startup Glow is raising more than US$100 million at a valuation above US$1 billion.
Founded by Roi Tiger, a former Meta executive and co-founder of Onavo, Glow is operating largely in stealth mode and is believed to be developing endpoint protection technology.
The company has already raised about US$80 million from investors including Sequoia Capital, Index Ventures, Cyberstarts, and Greenoaks Capital.
Its previous funding round valued the company at roughly US$400 million.
The firm’s team includes cybersecurity executives such as Ophir Arie and Omer Singer, while Pini Pinhasov, who was part of the founding team, has since left.
Calcalist says many of Glow’s investors also back cybersecurity firm Wiz.

🧠 Food for thought
Implications, context, and why it matters.
Founder pedigree, not product, is driving Glow’s billion-dollar-plus valuation
- Glow has no public product yet 1.
- Backers are leaning on Roi Tiger’s track record. He co-founded Onavo. He previously served as a Meta engineering executive 1.
- Sequoia Capital and Index Ventures invested even without a product release or public technical proof points 1.
Top VCs are backing a familiar set of founders in Israel’s cyber scene
- Many Glow investors also back cybersecurity firm Wiz. Calcalist ties that overlap to the same tight network of Israeli cyber founders 1.
- VC firms often fund teams that resemble past breakout successes, even at a pre-product stage 1.
- That habit can funnel more capital into early efforts like Glow. It can lift valuations and sharpen competition for cybersecurity and engineering talent 1.
- The result can be a narrower lane for startups outside that founder circle, even when the ideas are strong.
