Ex-Meta exec’s Israeli cybersecurity startup secures $55m

Israeli entrepreneur Roi Tiger is raising US$55 million for a stealth-mode cybersecurity startup, valuing the company at US$400 million.

The funding round is led by Greenoaks and follows a previous US$20 million seed round with investors Sequoia, Index Ventures, and Cyberstarts. These firms also backed Wiz, an Israeli cybersecurity company recently acquired by Google for US$32 billion.

Tiger, a former Meta engineering executive and co-founder of Onavo, launched the startup with Pini Pinhasov, Ophir Arie, and Omer Singer.

Pinhasov and Arie were involved with Medigate, which was acquired by Claroty for US$400 million, while Singer was head of cybersecurity strategy at Snowflake.
