EV firm BYD’s sales surge 62% in 2023, hits 3 million vehicles

BYD, a China-based electric vehicle maker, reported a 61.9% year-on-year increase in sales for 2023, selling over 3 million vehicles last year. Around 1.6 million of those vehicles were battery EVs, with the rest being plug-in hybrid EVs.

The firm recently announced plans to build an EV plant in Hungary.
