EU reaffirms Big Tech oversight amid Trump’s return

The European Union is maintaining its strict oversight of Big Tech under the Digital Services Act (DSA), despite reports suggesting otherwise.

Henna Virkkunen, the European Commission’s executive vice president for tech sovereignty, dismissed claims of easing scrutiny, affirming that investigations into platforms like X, Meta, TikTok, and others remain active.
