EToro agrees to buy TradeZero for up to $231m
EToro, an Israeli-founded trading and investing platform listed on Nasdaq, has agreed to acquire TradeZero, a US-focused online brokerage for active traders, for up to US$231 million in cash and stock.
The deal includes cash and up to 2.5 million newly issued eToro Class A shares and is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.
EToro already offers US securities trading through eToro USA Securities Inc., a US-registered broker-dealer, while its crypto trading is handled by separate non-broker entities.
The acquisition would expand eToro’s US brokerage infrastructure and add access to the Canadian market.
TradeZero’s US unit is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and is a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC).
TradeZero Canada Securities ULC is a member of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization and the Canadian Investor Protection Fund.
TradeZero generated about US$80 million in revenue in the 12 months ended June 30, 2026, implying a valuation of about 2.9 times revenue at the maximum purchase price.
