Israeli VC firm Entrée Capital nets $300m for AI, deep-tech startups

Entrée Capital has raised US$300 million in new funding to invest in early-stage startups.

The venture capital firm, headquartered in Tel Aviv and now manages US$1.5 billion in assets, will focus on pre-seed, seed, and series A rounds in Israel, the UK, Europe, and the US.

The new funding will target startups in AI, deep-tech, quantum computing, software, B2B productivity, and cryptocurrency infrastructure and security.

Entrée Capital is known for backing technology-focused companies across multiple sectors.

The firm did not disclose limited partners or commitments from institutional investors.

Several partners at Entrée Capital highlighted AI and Web3 as major investment themes.

🧠 Food for thought

Implications, context, and why it matters.

No breakdown of how or when the $300 million rolls out

  • Entrée shared no details on fund vehicles (the specific funds Entrée Capital uses to invest), check sizes by stage, reserves ratio (capital held back for follow-on rounds), or the investing timeline. It also skipped fund count and structure. The split across Israel and the UK remains unclear. So does the split across Europe and the US 1.
  • Public listings for Entrée Capital say check sizes range from $100k to $500 million from pre-seed to Series D, yet the new funds’ allocation plan is unknown 2.
  • Past funds closed at $160 million (2022), $125 million (2020), and $140 million (2022) 3.

Early outreach windows for AI and Web3 vendors and founders

  • Fresh AI and Web3 (blockchain-based internet services) money from pre-seed to Series A opens a window for vendors. Cloud and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) can pitch Entrée. So can security, compliance, and hiring providers (recruiting firms and HR software) 1.
  • Founders working on AI agents, decentralized infrastructure, or policy automation can time fundraising while Entrée invests. The firm reviewed 300+ Israeli Web3 deals and backed seven 4.
  • Track which AI and Web3 seed funds closed in Israel and the UK. Do the same in Europe and the US. This helps plan partnerships and sales cycles 1. Entrée’s ties include monday.com (work management software) and Glovo (on-demand delivery). They also include Classiq (quantum computing software) and Solana (a layer-1 blockchain). This can speed vendor introductions across its portfolio 5.
