Elon Musk’s brain tech startup Neuralink targets $1b by 2031

Neuralink, founded by Elon Musk, aims to generate US$1 billion in annual revenue by 2031.

The company plans to implant its brain chips in 20,000 people each year by that time.

It intends to establish five large clinics over the next six years and offer three versions of its device: “Telepathy” for brain-machine communication, “Blindsight” to restore vision, and “Deep” to treat tremors and Parkinson’s disease.

By 2029, Neuralink seeks US regulatory approval for Telepathy, with 2,000 surgeries annually and US$100 million in projected revenue.

In 2030, it plans to launch Blindsight, targeting 10,000 surgeries and over US$500 million in revenue, based on an average surgery cost of US$50,000.

Neuralink has raised US$1.3 billion and is valued at US$9 billion but has yet to secure US approval for permanent human use.
