Elevation Capital leads $5m round in India’s Synthio Labs

Synthio Labs, a voice AI company for life sciences based in the US and India, has raised US$5 million in seed funding led by Elevation Capital, with participation from 1984 Ventures, Peak XV Partners, Y Combinator, and several angel investors.

The company develops AI platforms that help pharmaceutical firms and healthcare providers automate conversations and deliver medical information to clinicians and patients.

Synthio Labs plans to use the capital to expand its engineering and product teams, scale deployments in the US and Europe, and strengthen partnerships with life sciences clients.

Synthio Labs’ suite includes Jarvis, a voice AI copilot for field teams; Ather, an AI engine for engagement; and Simulation Studio, which generates digital twins for research.

The company said its technology has been adopted by several large pharmaceutical companies and direct-to-consumer healthcare brands.

🧠 Food for thought

Implications, context, and why it matters.

Systems integrators can win pharma AI rollout with compliant voice

  • Pilots cover clinical development, manufacturing, plus post-approval safety and commercialization 3. Systems integrators (IT consultancies that implement plus connect enterprise software) and business process outsourcing (BPO) providers can deliver compliant voice AI plugging into Veeva Systems (life sciences software for content with customer relationship management [CRM]), Salesforce plus telephony.
  • With a $236 billion revenue cliff and pressure to lift output 3, buyers want 2x–10x efficiency by stitching steps into workflows. The opening is in the US and EU, where Synthio Labs plans to expand. Partners must bring AI know-how plus audit trails (tamper-evident logs), bias mitigation and explainability, the ability to explain model outputs across the FDA, the European Medicines Agency (EMA), plus other regulators 3.
