Egypt has launched the second phase of its National AI Strategy for 2025 to 2030.

The updated plan, presented by the National Council for AI, aims to establish Egypt as a key AI hub in the Middle East and Africa.

The strategy prioritizes six areas: governance, technology, data, infrastructure, ecosystem, and talent.

Officials project the plan will support the “Digital Egypt” initiative and lead to the establishment of over 250 AI-driven companies by 2030.

Additionally, the country aims for AI to contribute over US$42.7 billion to its GDP, representing 7.7% of the economy.
