EaseMyTrip CEO Nishant Pitti steps down amid stake sales
Nishant Pitti, co-founder of EaseMyTrip, has resigned as CEO, with Rikant Pitti set to take over, per a regulatory filing.
Nishant sold a 1.41% stake in the company, and EaseMyTrip shares dropped 1.5% to 15.49 rupees (around US$0.19) on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
On December 31, he sold shares worth 78.3 crore rupees (around US$9.4 million), following a September sale of 920 crore rupees (around US$110 million) that led to a 20% share price drop.
This leadership change mirrors broader 2024 trends of startup executive exits, including Harsha Shah of Fynd and Chandan Singh of Adda247.
