Dutch chipmaker NXP posts $2.93b revenue in Q2 2025: report

NXP Semiconductors reported Q2 2025 revenue of US$2.93 billion, down 6% year-over-year.

The company posted a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) gross margin of 53.4% and non-GAAP net income per share of US$2.72.

During the quarter, NXP returned US$461 million to shareholders, representing 66% of its non-GAAP free cash flow.

This amount included US$204 million in share buybacks and US$257 million in dividend payments.

Key tech highlights include the launch of third-gen radar processors and a new partnership with Rimac for software-defined vehicles.

Additionally, on June 17, 2025, NXP completed its acquisition of TTTech Auto, a provider of safety-critical systems and middleware for software-defined vehicles.

The company has expressed optimism for the third quarter, citing anticipated improvements in its core markets and specific growth drivers for its business.
