Airbound, a drone delivery startup headquartered in Bengaluru, raised US$1.7 million in seed funding led by Lightspeed with contributions from gradCapital and other angel investors.

The funds will be used to develop cost-efficient drone logistics for medical deliveries.

Airbound will initially focus on transporting medical supplies like blood samples. The company plans to expand to other sectors such as food and grocery delivery.
