Domestic makers hold nearly 50% of China robotics market: report
China’s domestic manufacturers now hold nearly 50% of the country’s robotics market, up from 30% in 2020, according to US-based research firm SemiAnalysis. This highlights the rapid growth of China’s robotics industry.
Chinese companies are also moving beyond the low-end market, competing in higher-end segments.
Hangzhou-based Unitree Robotics, for example, has developed the humanoid G1 robot without American components.
The report suggests that intelligent robotics could significantly boost production capacity across various sectors.
China is currently the only nation positioned for large-scale automation, which may impact other economies, particularly the US.
As China’s robotics industry advances, competitive pressure may push the US to accelerate its automation efforts.
