dLocal, a cross-border payment platform, has partnered with ecommerce platform Temu to enhance payment options in 14 emerging markets across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

This collaboration aims to tackle challenges in these regions, where limited payment options and high unbanked populations hinder access to global ecommerce.

The partnership will allow Temu to provide localized and seamless payment solutions in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, and Uruguay.

dLocal’s infrastructure is intended to lower barriers in these markets, potentially reducing cart abandonment rates, which can exceed 70% in regions without tailored payment options.
